Rainer Magold is a partner in the Frankfurt office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Banking and Leveraged Finance Group. A partner since 2005, he was previously a partner with one of the largest international law firms.
Primary Focus & Experience:
Mr. Magold focuses on representing parties in acquisition finance, other non-recourse or limited-recourse financings, syndicated lending, transaction and corporate finance. His recent representations include advising borrowers and lenders in connection with the financing of a large number of acquisitions by private equity funds and strategic investors, numerous syndicated loans and project finance transactions.

Rainer Magold has been recognized as a leading leveraged finance and bank credit lawyer by leading directories, among them JUVE, Chambers Europe and Chambers Global, Legal 500, PLC, Who’s Who of Banking and Project Finance and other such publications. He is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on leveraged finance and syndicated loans, and lectures at the Institute for Law and Finance at the University of Frankfurt.
He studied law at the Universities of Mannheim (Dr.jur., 1986) and Geneva, and Tulane Universtiy School of Law in New Orleans (LL.M., 1981).
Mr. Magold is admitted to the German bar and speaks German, English, French and Spanish.
