Founder and Senior Partner and Managing Director of Pramuanchai Law Office Co., Ltd., Pramual’s wide range of areas of expertise include commercial laws, insurance and maritime and shipping claims. He handles all kinds of maritime disputes (dry and wet). His practice includes cargo, personal injury, charter party, collision, oil pollution claims. His notable case includes the oil pollution dispute in the “EASTERN FORTITUDE”, one of the largest claims of oil pollution in Thailand.

In addition to his professional achievement, he has played an active role in the drafting of Thailand’s laws on maritime transport and insurance. He serves as legal advisor to the Marine Insurance and Logistics Committee of the General Insurance Association of Thailand and has contributed a significant part in the drafting of insurance policies, such as Fire Insurance Policy, Inland Cargo Policy, Carrier’s Liability Policy, Multimodal Transport Operator’s Liability Insurance Policy, Product Liability Policy.

Due to his expertise in both shipping, marine and non-marine insurance fields, Pramual is regularly invited to give lectures at conferences and seminars organized by private and non-private sectors. He is at heart a dedicated teacher and always allocates his time in giving lectures in spite of his tight work schedule. He is frequently invited to speak and give lectures at academic institutions and prestigious universities in Thailand and his academic works have earned him professorship in marine insurance. His professorship was approved by His Majesty the King and published in the Royal Gazette on 17 September 2009 with retroactive effect since 13 October 2008.

He is also the author a number of insurance handbooks on Fire Insurance, Inland Transit, Carrier’s Liability and Multimodal Transport Operator’s Liability, General Average, Marine Insurance Act and Analysis of Institute Cargo Clauses published by the General Insurance Association of Thailand, as well as the author of text books on Marine Insurance and Insurance for Cargo Transport Industry and Logistics Services published by the Faculty of Logistics, Burapha University.

Shipping Law Practice:

The firm’s leading shipping practice is recognized for its expertise and ability to handle a full range of shipping matters which include ship sale and purchase, shipbuilding dispute, vessel arrest, cargo dispute both dry and wet work, including all matters arising from casualties and oil pollution claims.
