Mr. Orewale is a partner in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He has practiced extensively before all the superior courts of record in Nigeria on matters relating to labour and employment, capital markets,telecommunications, contracts, tax, banking and finance, auditor’s negligence, partnership, shareholdersrights and insolvency.

He also renders advisory services to financial institutions, corporate organizations, government agencies and multinational companies on business restructuring and turnaround, mergers and acquisition, scheme of arrangement and compromise, winding-up, receivership and bankruptcy.

He is a member of Nigerian Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN) and International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL International).

Mr. Orewale holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria, 1996 and a Master of Laws Degree (LLM) from University of Ibadan, 2004. He was admitted to practice law in Nigeria in 1998.

Keys areas of strength of our litigation practice are contractual disputes, receiverships, insolvency and corporate restructuring claims, professional negligence, intellectual property, competition, real estate particularly in construction and engineering issues, financial fraud, debt recovery, expropriation, insurance claims, tax matters, employment, libel, product liability, class action matters, immigration, multiparty litigation, probate matters, trusts, transport, specifically in areas of aviation, admiralty and maritime. The department also offers support to all other practice groups within the firm.

ǼLEX litigation group represents corporations, partnerships, airlines, banks and individual entrepreneurs in commercial, financial and business litigation of all types. Recently, we represented a major tobacco manufacturing company on a product liability claim made by the Federal Government and four local State Governments. We are currently advising a multinational oil exploration company on a $200m arbitration with an offshore contractor. We are also representing an offshore client in series of first ever mass torts/medical recoupment claims brought by State governments against manufacturer.
