Mr. Boyarsky, who leads the Employment & Labor Law practice in the firm’s New York office, is a former in-house attorney who handled employment and labor matters throughout the Americas for his company. For over 20 years, he has represented management exclusively in workplace law. Mr. Boyarsky often litigates matters in federal and state court, especially in New Jersey and New York. Such litigations involve alleged employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, restrictive covenant protection, unfair competition, and wage and hour violations. He also advises clients in labor matters, including collective bargaining, arbitrations, and preventive employee relations. In addition, Mr. Boyarsky co-chairs the Gibbons Privacy & Data Security Team to oversee trade secrets and workplace privacy matters.

Mr. Boyarsky regularly prepares contracts and policies and consults on personnel subjects in connection with corporate mergers and acquisitions. He often counsels on matters of disability and leave management, to analyze and respond to disability accommodation requests. Mr. Boyarsky spends significant time assisting clients in investigating workplace complaints typically involving sexual harassment, discrimination, and unfair treatment. He also advises senior executives related to employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements and severance agreements. Mr. Boyarsky regularly works with clients in a variety of service industries, including media, financial services, telecommunications, private equity, hospitality, education, professional services (such as employee recruiting), medical, software consulting, and engineering, as well as manufacturing and distribution companies.

Gibbons P.C.:

With more than 200 attorneys, Gibbons is a leading law firm in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, ranked among the nation’s top 200 by The American Lawyer. Gibbons has been recognized nationally for its work – as, for example, one of only 20 law firms on the National Law Journal’s inaugural “Midsize Hot List” – as well as regionally. The New Jersey Law Journal has awarded Gibbons a “Litigation Practice of the Year” designation four times in recent years, in the class action, products liability, and commercial litigation categories and with the overall “General Litigation Practice of the Year” honor. Law360 has also highlighted the firm’s multidisciplinary litigation strength, and its contributions to several high-profile corporate transactions in the public and private sectors, in its “Regional Powerhouse” series. The firm has been certified as a great workplace by the independent analysts at the Great Place to Work® organization.

The firm also stands out among competitors by staying true to a middle-market vision. Our business model is focused on offering high quality, cost-effective middle-market legal services to Fortune 500 clients and middle market businesses; that is, we handle major matters for mid-market companies (with annual revenues of $100 million to $2.5 billion) and mid-market matters for major companies, notably in the Mid-Atlantic region. With headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, and thriving offices in New York, Philadelphia, Wilmington, and Trenton, Gibbons has a significant foothold in the Mid-Atlantic and a presence that lends itself to exceptional regional coverage, especially for clients with their own regional business strategies. With cutting edge video, audio, and network technology linking all of our offices, we are able to close major deals and devise litigation strategies for matters that involve Gibbons attorneys across several firm offices and client representatives throughout a number of their own locations—as if we were all in the same room.
