Gökben represents mainly international clients in matters of litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, and her areas of practice include commercial law and tax law, corporate fraud and economic crimes, data protection&privacy, employment and ethic investigations, debt execution, restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy, competition, labour law and intellectual property.  Within Turkey, Gökben is viewed by peers as a particularly accomplished litigator who has worked on some of the largest and most complex corporate legal cases within the jurisdiction, and as a lawyer who is committed to developing her practice area.

Gökben’s practice combines commercial litigation with great corporate law expertise. Gökben is also a well-known specialist with more than a decade’s experience advising multinationals, financial institutions, and investment funds on complex cross-border transactions across Asia, Europe, and the US in a variety of industries. Her practice primarily focuses on private company mergers, tender offers, asset purchases, and joint venture transactions. She has advised extensively on the legal and regulatory regimes and advices on corporate structures, shareholders rights and corporate governance issues.

Her knowledge of the Turkish legal system, strategic approach and ability to see the bigger picture regarding the sector in question, as well as the political and business environments, ensure she attains successful results. Gökben is a frequent speaker at domestic and international conferences and has written extensively on various subjects in leading law publications, especially on restructuring.
