Christoph has more than 30 years of professional experience in public economic law, constitutional and European law. His practice focuses on planning and environmental law and the regulated industries as well as on constitutional law, including in connection with current law-making. Christoph is specialised in advising clients in the field of project development and in conducting planning and approval procedures for all kinds of commercial projects, infrastructure facilities and industrial plants. He renders services throughout Germany for both private clients and public authorities.
Christoph studied at the universities of Bochum and Freiburg. Assistant professor at the University of Freiburg. After one year as a first attorney (for the State of Baden Württemberg before the Administrative Court (VG) of Freiburg (1976)), he came to Gleiss Lutz. He has been a partner since 1981. He is a certified administrative law attorney as well as an honorary professor at Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, (he lectures Construction and Planning, Environmental and European Law). He is the chairman of the German Bar Association Administrative Law Committee and a member of various professional associations and advisory boards/working groups (energy, European, environmental and building law), co-editor of the DVBl. Christoph speaks German, English and French.
